Bike Month

Hello Tulsa!

Did you know that May is Bike Month?  Even if you're not an avid cyclist, it's still a great time to dust off the saddle, lube that chain, and go for a ride.

Every May, Tulsa hosts some special activities during Bike-to-Work week.  This year those dates are May 16-20.  A couple of things that are on the calendar are bicycle safety courses, offered by the Tulsa HUB and a Bike Crawl in collaboration with TYPros Sustainability Crew.

The Youth and Family Complex at First United Methodist Church [11th & Main] is offering free use of the shower facilities during Bike-to-Work Week.  No membership required; just mention that you are participating in the special event when you check in at the welcome desk.  A 'shower-only' membership is available if you decide that bicycle commuting is your new favorite thing!

Another great cycling event coming up in Tulsa is the annual Tulsa Tough on June 10-12, sponsored by St. Francis Health System.  This event offers something for all ages and all cycling abilities.

Happy trails everyone!
